One of a Kind Barnwood Panel with Antique Camphor Bottle
This one of a kind panel is made from reclaimed barnwood salvaged from an estate in Medford, Oregon. The surface is naturally aged, with soft texture and weathered character that reflects its history.
A hand-cast plaster flower rests near the top, adding soft dimension. Just below, a rare antique glass bottle becomes the heart of the piece. Embossed with the words “Camphor Oil – Trask, Chicago,” this bottle dates back to the late 1800s to early 1900s and was once used for medicinal purposes. Its thick aqua glass and raised lettering give it both visual and historical depth. It’s securely mounted with a polished copper strap and filled with hand-harvested lavender and wildflowers from Southern Oregon.
A delicate plaster botanical corner with a perched bird detail adds charm and balance. Metal studs in the bottom corners finish the panel with a rustic edge.
Handmade in small batches from my home studio under the name Thistle & Muse, each piece reflects a commitment to eco-conscious practices, reclaimed materials, and meaningful craftsmanship.
Currently on display at True Lavender Collective in Ashland, Oregon in the Plaza Mall hallway. Local pickup and delivery available.
